| As I carried my painting gear up La Luz trail in the Sandia Mountains, the sun kept getting lower and I kept getting higher. Finally I turned to look back and saw this. It is near where the old La Luz joins the new one near the saddle. I painted quickly en plein air to get the general feel of the light and completed it in the studio. Darkness caught me on the way down - I was glad that I am familiar with the trail. |
