This piece is all about the sky. I wanted to really stretch my "sky" skills and did quite a lot of research before I came up with these clouds, which I wanted to look just as ephemeral as real ones do. This mesa is north of San Ysidro, New Mexico. We were coming home from working on the Continental Divide Trail and I caught this image by camera as the sun set. The scene included no clouds so I was able to combine my sky vision with the real landscape.
