I waited all this cloudy day to get good light for painting some of the beautiful places within hiking distance of the campground on the south part of Joshua Tree National Monument, CA. Late in the day we got sun and I walked a short distance to paint. I like this view as well as any that I saw on longer hikes that day. (No, there are no Joshua trees in this part of the monument.)
